About me
I have always loved animals and grew up amongst various dogs and horses as well as other furry and feathered friends. My childhood pony turned out to be an amazing jumper and we had many years of fun and she taught me so much. There was always a family dog, but a targeted campaign by my brother and I meant that Bruno the Beagle puppy was added to the family. Despite the warnings we had about Beagles, he was an absolute angel of a dog - I won with him in obedience and agility but more importantly he was the most wonderful kind pet and a reminder to keep an open mind and not to fall into stereotyping.

More recently I have competed with horses in showing and well as well as some show jumping and hunter trials. I have backed and ridden away all of my current three horses as I find it gets you a fantastic bond where they will really try to help you out.

With my current dogs Pudding and Dill, we discovered canicross, and have gradually increased the distances up to an ultra marathon.

In training for some of these races I enquired about massage courses that were available with our McTimoney practitioner, as Pudding was getting some tension in her shoulders. Before I knew it, I was enrolled on the Animal Therapy course with the McTimoney College of Chiropractic to learn various soft tissue techniques, followed by an MSc in Animal Manipulation (Chiropractic) to learn to complete McTimoney chiropractic techniques on small and large animals. This course is the only validated course of this level in Europe.

Like so many people I have sometimes struggled to afford to keep bills paid and my animals kept in the way that they have been accustomed. I have worked extra jobs, gone without myself and not been able to afford all the things I have wanted to do, but at the end of it and gentle whicker in the morning and coming home to a wagging tail is the most important thing. This grounding has made me consider my business ethics, I want to be able to offer an affordable service to be able to maintain the comfort and well-being of your animals whilst offering top class compassionate service. Please see the services tab for more details on horse and dog treatments and pricing. If you would like to know more, please do not hesitate to contact me. I am always happy to chat and will always keep the animals best interests at heart. I will never try to get you to sign up to do more treatments than required and will not hesitate to recommend other paraprofessionals such as hydrotherapy, physiotherapy etc, it is important we can all work together in the animals best interest.
